I just updated my scenario material and included the rules and status sheets for the imperial and rebel forces as well as some casualty markers I am using to extend the life of the figures on the board.

PDF with the items mentioned.

Noted that these are the Arjun rules…

On Morale…shouldn't it be if the rolls is above the total morale score they can"t move towards the enemy?

With a broader range in saves this could be used with conventional stormtroopers as well. Their armor does account for some survivability and all. I figure that you mean for hand held weapons (E-web excluded) to not be able to damage structures and armor.

Personally I'd probably give the snowtroopers a slightly better save for the minor blast armor and helmet.

Cloudcaptain--

on morale you are right. I mixed it up because with hits or saves it is usally roll the number and above and with younger players, I may have wrote it to keep it consistent, but it does work better rolling under the number (more chances to pass morale)I will modify it for the game on sunday.

on the saves, again I agree with you, but with the younger players I devised a bit more bloody results to create more "dead" figures (or casualty markers first) to keep them in the game.

The only items able to damage the AT AT or turrets or snowspeeders are the heavier lasers and cannon (reb APL and AVC) and the chin and side mounts on the AT AT.

I tweaked the rules in a few hours yesterday with an eye for a high body count to simulate numerous troops on both sides (part of the overall assault)

Cheers!

It was your snowtroopers you traded to me that started all of this!!!!! LOL

I can see snowtroopers perhaps hesitating slightly if they fail their morale checks, but since Vader is around, I doubt any would dare fall back from the rebels, even when under fire from them.

Incurring his wrath would no doubt be worse than anything the rebels can dish out.

We just got this new chain of stores here in Atlanta called AJ Wright. They are like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. They have a fair sampling of the same figs on clearance. So if you happen to see one pop up…take a look!

That sounds very good i'd love to hear how it turns out.

I on the other hand will be running my Battle of the Grassy Plain next Feb at a local convention(Dundracon) in the San Francisco Bay Area.

If you don't know this one it's the Battle between the Gungan Grand Army vs the Droid Army of the Trade Federation.

I have almost 400 Droids myself as well as almost 400 Gungans as well, plus some items like a Fambaa and some AAT's as well.

This'll be the second year that i'll be doing this Feb my very good friend and myself ran it,but he has passed away and i'll have another friend help me this go around.

The first game i ran the Gungans won so who knows what'll happen this timne around.

Cloudcaptain--thanks for the heads up--I will look around some of those types of stores in the chicago area.

Captain Gideon--400! are they the hasbro unleashed 3inch size figs or the wotc 25mm size. either way--sounds impressive!!!!

Merry Christmas to all !!!

Custer7thcav thanks i'm very proud of my Gungan collection and they're all from the WOTC gaming sets, the bulk of them coming from the Knights of the Old Republic set.

As for the Hasbro 3inch figures i've got one of each of the Gungans that they made.

My Hoth game is on stand still due to family issues but one thing I have incorporated is a fall back that forces Imperial/Rebel unit to go back 1/2 move to show loss of inititive. Not a rout or retreat but a fall back to regroup and continue the assault. It is one way for the battle to continue but not wipe out the unit.

FWIW I was going to preview my game of home rules and massive terrain (Based on the Club Landwehr group and the two games I have images of from Origins) but it does not look like I will make Cold Wars. BUT there are THREE HOTH games on the Cold Wars PEL. I am sooooo going to miss going just to see those.
