Master Gunfighter with the actor from Billy Jack. Not really any supernatural or Sci-fi elements but all the gunfighters also carry around samurai swords and have Sword/Gunfights. An interesting cross-genre movie.

Deadman

Renegade (Blueberry)

All are weird but probably not what you're looking for.

There's also The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr…. which I thought was on Hulu but isn't.

Sukiyaki Django.

Blazing Saddles.

He *does* invent the candygram, after all.

And it's got Prussians in Picklehaubs (dancing, but even so).

The Apple Dumpling Gang

IMO, the weirdest movie set in the Old West is "Greaser's Palace"; it's in the running for weirdest movie ever with "Eraserhead" & "The Forbidden Zone".

Benjamin23 Dec 2009 4:10 p.m. PST

Excelent, keep em coming

The Shadow23 Dec 2009 5:45 p.m. PST

"Django the B*st*rd" aka "The Strangers Gundown" is said to have been the inspiration for "High Plains Drifter".

Brisco County Jr. was an awesome show! Highly recommended!

Mr Brightside23 Dec 2009 10:08 p.m. PST

Pale Rider. The shootout at the end where he keeps disappearing and reapearing next to the guys then guns down the lead "marshal" by shooting him repeatedly then finishing him off with the holdout gun has to be the creepiest shootout ever. I have been meaning to incorporate that into a game.

bsrlee24 Dec 2009 12:37 a.m. PST

If its just weird you want, how about 'The One About the Travelling Piano Saleslady' with Phyllis Diller.

'Support Your Local Sheriff' & 'Support Your Local Gunfighter' with James Garner.

TV series 'Wildcats' with the heroes driving a Stutz Bearcat (?) with twin Maxim guns on the bonnet, set in just pre-WW1 in the West.

ScoobyDoom24 Dec 2009 12:41 a.m. PST

'Copperhead'. Mining community vs. a horde of venomous snakes – with some surprises…

Chalfant24 Dec 2009 5:17 a.m. PST

Dead Birds.

wingnut24 Dec 2009 7:37 a.m. PST

I'm still wanting Brisco County JR. Miniatures.

Mr Brightside24 Dec 2009 1:00 p.m. PST

Jonah Hex.

"Django", previously mentioned, is worth watching just for all the un-intended laughs. If you really want to laugh just watch the commentary from the major principals discuss how they thought they were making a really great film…

"Tremors", though it is set in the modern day. Many of the characters live by the moral code of the West however. I see someone mentioned there is a "Tremors 4" – I'll have to see if Netflix has it.

Nobody mentioned "Django" in this thread. Are you talking about "Django", "Sukiaki Western Django" or "Django the B*st*rd"?
