Is it available yet or is this a sneak peak?

What's that Chasseur looking at?

Nice vignette! Thanks for posting, can't wait to get some cavalry for this range.

Think it is a sneak peek, but would gladly be corrected.

Alas my talents lie elsewhere. The sculptor would be Alan Marsh.

It is a sneak peek. Nic included some in my last shipment so UK customers should be able to get it through me quite quickly when it is released.

That's lovely.

What's that Chasseur looking at?

Looks like he stepped in something.

The chasseur is tapping his pipe on his boot whilst giving the washing maid the once over.

The blog Says the hag is keeping a close eye on him, however she's facing the other way – must be like my wife when ever I'm enjoying a bit of the scenery, eyes in the back of her head!!

Hi Guys
Sculptor: Alan Marsh
The Chasseur is tapping his pip on his boot heal.

"The blog Says the hag is keeping a close eye on him, however she's facing the other way – must be like my wife when ever I'm enjoying a bit of the scenery, eyes in the back of her head"!!

The "Hag" can be placed on the bench facing any way she wants, (and who would argue with her,…)

"What's that Chasseur looking at"?

The pretty maid I suspect, but maybe he's into "older" women or even horse flesh,…

I believe the set is available now, but "Fighting15s" would now better than I I'm sure,..

Cheers

Excellent!
Hadn't seen the maid and hag elements until now. The hag is brilliant! Will have to get this set for sure. Come on Nic, when are those casque and mirliton-wearing chasseurs gonna be ready? ;)

I believe the set is available now, but "Fighting15s" would now better than I I'm sure,..

Eureka figures can be in circulation in advance of their official release for several reasons:

1. Some uniquely privileged customers can wander into Eureka and pick up stuff that Nic may be about to release (although sometimes that release may not be for some weeks or months). You lucky, lucky Aussies. :-)

2. Figures are often available in advance of their release at shows, for example Fall In and Historicon in the US, Claymore in the UK, and the native shows in Oz.

3. 100 and 300 Club members get the figures they have subscribed to in advance of a general release to the gaming public. For instance, Frederick the Great and his flute, also not yet officially released.

All the above create excitement and mean Eureka's outposts such as Fighting 15s get queries about figures "that have been released according to a poster on TMP" when in fact they haven't. The diorama piece in this instance has not figured on advance and new release information from Nic, and therefore it is an item that I expect to be released in the near future, particularly because I have a small boxful that I can't sell until the official release is announced. So for one moment in my life I am sure that I do indeed know better. If briefly. It makes a change. :-)

Merry Christmas and a chasseur-filled new year,

Ian

And that would be me,…
;o)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

foot soldier24 Dec 2009 9:53 a.m. PST

Gentlemen,
All the more reason to visit the States and come to either Fall In (Nov.), Cold Wars (March) or Historicon in July.
Just wait until you see the Chasseurs in Tarelton & Mirliton. If you were a uniquely privileged customer and was at Fall In last month you have seen the Chasseurs and might also have been lucky enough to be painting your own right now.
Remember that for 1 week every July Nic relocates to Historicon in beautiful Pennsylvania.
Merry Christmas and a Austrian Chevauleger/Dragoon & artillery filled new year!!

cheers,
