I just got some of the new figures out by Eureka for their 28 mm Teddy Bear SYW figures. These are a 'mounted' cavalrybear in tricorne with large horn (not a bugle) held to his mouth and a 'mounted' cavalrybear in tricorne with a standard (in this case a duck on top) sloped forward.

link but don't know when they'll be listed or in stock, so please ask.

Nice and clean figures, a small amount of flash around the joint where the right 'paw' grips the hobby horse's handle, but nothing difficult to clean up. Figures match the existing ones exactly for size and character.

One figure's head is facing forward and the other has its head turned to the side.

Great additions for everyone's bear force.

I had sent an e-mail to Eureka with a number of suggestions for additional bears for this range as I'm painting up forces for my grandchildren. These two met some of my requests, but (hint, hint, hint) I'd still love to see a mounted bear in cuirass (and command), a mounted bear in hussar's cap/fur cap (and command), and some personality command bears (a Frederick bear with cane for example).

I'm having a great time painting them and my grandchildren are highly amused by them.

Thanks for the heads up on the new figures. I like your suggestions too.
You may be interested to know that in the Eureka 100 club there are 18th century civilian bears as well as some other bear possibilities listed.
They're towards the bottom of the page:

I think the hussars need to have that pelisse worn on the shoulder in addition to whatever headgear.

Here's Dan's link 'repaired' (there was an extraneous comma in the URL)

Unfortunately, I get the white box with the red X in it where the new items' photos are supposed to be.

Oh. The descriptions for the ones I can't see aren't cavalry types other than Tarleton-wearing light dragoons.

The hussars have long been needed.

I always like the AWI Bears.

Mind you, it's a little disconcerting seeing teddy bears wearing bearskin grenadier caps.

Beaver skin hats, man, beaver skin hats!

Countess Sandra's are all impeccably dressed in period uniforms I'll have you know – that's if you overlook the occasional flash of midriff…
