Just came across these toy houses while browsing at the Rite-Aid around the corner from my house -- They were so cheap, I couldn't resist picking one up to give it a try. Normally $7.99, they 50% off so I picked this up for $4:

uploaded a few pics here:

The scale seems pretty close for 20-28 mm models. I think with a bit of work, they could be useful. Also come with some small plastic furnitures and and plastic palm tree too!

I also found this one ceramic, Christmassy one for $10 USD (half-off). I probably won't use it, but my wife collects these for her xmas set up so I picked it up anyway.

We might have to AK47-inize a set of those. Thanks for the heads up!

Ok, Just did a coat of black spray paint, and a couple of minor 'repairs' to the house.

Here's a few more shots with an airfix 1/76 Pz IV and a couple of 1/76 plastic figs for scale:

When I first looked at the houses I thought no way. however, I was impressed with how well they do work.

Thanks,

John

Reminds me of a cartoon I once saw that the evil bad guy came in and stripped all the colors away leaving only shades of gray.

But they do seem easier to work with now.

Do they come rubbled too? hehehe

Rathicus:
No, they are not sold in "rubbled" form. However, you could let my two kids play with them for about a half an hour and get the same effect! (Including the stripped paint.)

@Terrement: Let me guess --- "marital aid" devices? hehehe

Neat find there ( the houses I mean) -- so, have they been drafted to the gaming table already? Pictures? Thanks
