I need a couple of Imperial Guard figures IDed. -At the bottom of page 37 of the '99 IG Codex, there is a pic of a Tallarn squad that include a trooper cradling a las rifle in his left arm while his right arm is extended out behind him as if making a "Get Down" signal. Despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to find this mini anywhere. Was it actually produced or was it a studio conversion? -A few days back, I stumbled across an eBay auction for a Steel Legion Autocannon with the gunner sitting rather than kneeling. To the best of my knowledge (which is admittedly limited) there never was a Steel Legion Autocannon or a sitting Steel Legion Gunner. Real or conversion? The auction didn't say. |

Number one sounds familiar – <edit> found it in the squad on GW's site: link Number two doesn't ring any bells – maybe a Valhallan conversion

Number one's already been answered, but here's another one painted up by someone else. link |

Hmmm
that's odd. My Tallarn squad didn't come with that one but DID come with one that isn't pictured. Oh well
at least I know it DOES exist. I'll just have to keep looking. |

I would suspect a conversion for No 2 – I have a couple that are similar, including a sitting gunner with a spiffy beret (from the WarHammer Empire halberdiers) |

Well pooh! I really could use a couple sitting Steel Legion gunners. Oh well
time to break out the razor saw and needle files. |

Back when the various metal Guard were released, there were a couple of rifleman poses that didn't come in the box sets, only in blisters. Nowadays, I don't think the contents of the packs available from GW Mail Order are fixed, so you'll get a random assortment of infantry if you order a squad. |
