He probably wearing separate hose which he has loosend from his doublet or breeches in order not to break the points holding them up and to improve mobility. Or simply rolled them down in an effort to reduce the heat. |

Had my brother look at the pick and we both think the one in the middle is a 'she' (or else has a very feminine chin to go with the curls spreading out from under the helm). Which might explain the lack of hose/pants. Or it just might be that the two of us need to get out of the house more. |
