Does anyone make 6/10/15mm minis for modern motorsports? |

I've found that Matchbox/Hot Wheels have a few. There's a Danica Patrick (blech) Indy car. There appears to be a formula-type car being released within the next couple of weeks that would work as well. I'd guess that both of these are in the 10-15mm scale range. |

Years ago the Micro Machine line of toy cars released the complete starting grid of 1996 Indy 500, plus the pace car (34 vehicles total). Each is about 2 inches long, I am guessing that makes it about 10mm scale. I bought two sets a couple of years after it was released (it was on sale), keeping one set intact in the display box, and I planned on using the other set whenever I get around to play an auto racing game (which I still have yet to do). link |

Many years ago SDD did a racing game, that I've been thinking of selling my copy of
SDD "Winners View" car racing game with 6 painted Formula one cars £20.00 GBP not including P+P The cars are about 6mm scale (or just under I think), anyway if you or anyone else is interested please e-mail me at
wsd50@yahoo.co.uk Cheers Roger. |

They make a set of little ones for Formula De, in metal. Not sure what scale they are though, but guess 1/600th, or so. |

Actually, the micromachines are 1 1/2" in length
somewhere between 1/100 and 1/144 in scale. They are almost the same size as Hot Wheels' short-lived Atomix line from 2002. Here's a shot of the Atomix cars along with some Speed Racer jewelry (!) we're using in Speed Rally: link btw, while I've seen a number of the MM Indy cars on eBay, the S+H make them way too pricy. If you can find a Toy & Hobby show, I've seen bins of MM going for a buck a piece or less there |

I've found the indy cars at Target, but for $5, I think I'll pass. I did find quite a variety of hot wheels and matchbox cars that will work. I picked up plenty of formula cars and a few le mans cars. I haven't seen anything even remotely resembling a MotoGP racer though. Seems a shame. I could do the Indy course and run both formula cars and bikes. |

There are a couple of (apparently) good MotoGP races out there -- with figures: link link |

Finally got a chance to put some F1 cars side-by-side. Here's a direct comparison of scales between Hot Wheels, Micromachines (from their 1996 Indy release) and Formula de. picture |
