hey all, can anyone tell me the actual or exact size of a baccus figure?

Just curious with comparing to other 6mm lines.
thanks!

Peter has a great scale comparison in his FAQ on the Baccus 6mm website. Here's the link – scroll down just a little to see some side by sides.

Here's a direct link. It's not a 'great' scale comparison, the pic's too small

The actual size of my Baccus Roman miniatures, measuring from the bottom of their feet (excluding their bases), to the top of their heads (excluding helmets) is 7.5mm. This is why Baccus do not mix well with Heroics & Ros miniatures. H&R are actually 5mm high (I own over 8,000 H&R miniatures).

Which are better? I like them both. I just don't mix them.

H&R are are very similar to Irregular miniatures. Baccus are very similar to Rapier miniatures. I own samples of all of these.

In general, Baccus are nice if you want to paint detailings. Treat'em like 10mm/15mm miniatures. They paint up very well. H&R are very nice if you just want troops on your board -- it is hard to add detail to H&R miniatures as they are just a bit too small, but that means you can do a nice paint job in a half of the time it takes to paint Baccus/Rapier.

Which are better…. your choice really.

I have started a 6mm FPW project, so far have 3 Corps of Prussians and a Bde of Wurtemburg done. One of the Corps is made up of Baccus, the others Irregular. The Irregular figures are slightly smaller so will not mix directly but based up on mass they sit side by side in formation waiting to have their bases finished they look fine together,

Tally Ho!
