Nicely done! I wish I could get a reliable supply of TAG figures here in the States. Have you started your infantry? I'm curious if the Haiduks look as good in person as they do on the TAG site. If so, I'm stoked! Thanks! Steve Miller DFW Irregulars |

Look forward to seeing more, these are very well done. I have about 30 to paint and 60 Pancerni. However first I am doing a lot of Ottomans to fight them. So your photos should keep up the enthusiasm as I can be a wargames period butterfly. All my figures are TAG, well except for an Ottoman Turk stand of musicians which I got from Redoubt. Very nice. |

Steve, Looking back at my archive there are Russians in Feb 2008. I'll put some Haiduks up next week. Nigel |

I live in Canada and I order TAG from the UK with no problem. De Ligne, do you have any hints on how to do the fur on the trumpeter's hat? I have some TAG Polish cossacks that I have yet to get to. And what paper flags did you use? |

I've just put some Polish flags on my blog which you are welcome to use. Huevans – greenstuff, do you have some? Mix the blue and yellow putty together until its green then roll it between your fingers until you have a thin strip to wrap round a hat or helmet. Gently prod it into position and superglue. Then using a pin or other similar thing, roughen up the surface to make it look like fur. Voila, I promise its easy, Just get stuck in and if you don't like the result, take it off and start again. Thanks. I actually meant the more basic info about how to paint – undercoat, wash, etc – the sculpted lead "fur" on the figures? :-) Your flags are lovely. I have been wondering about using the Rofur ready-made flags for Hussar streamers. The simpler Hayduk and cossack flags can probably be cut and paste and "improved" from examples on the net. The motifs are repeated and simple. I will see what I can figure out from looking at what you have done. |

Good work
as a general ratio, I usually paint 2-3 pancerni, 2-3 light cavalry and 1 dragoon unit for every winged hussar unit. Each order of battle will vary considereably
a good place to find some representative examples of various orders of battle is the PanMark yahoo group. In addition there is a very lively discussion about various topics for this period. link db |

I wish I could get a reliable supply of TAG figures here in the States </q.I've never had any problems ordering directly and free postage is brilliant! I highly recommend ordering directly from TAG to the States. Quick delivery, good information flow regarding the order. The TAG folks are excellent at providing great service. |

Steve and Others; WarWeb.com has TAG in stock and I've gotten very good service from them, even though I've only ordered a few samples. Bill Sir William The Aged warsoflouisxiv.blogspot.com |

Thanks to all! Bill as you well know when I do a painting project, the axis of the world shifts toward my paint table
or that's at least why my long suffering spousal unit believes. Global warming HA! Polar axis shift YEAH! :) Steve M. DFW Irregulars PS: I got a ditty from the LSHM folks that someone is putting on a con in Fort Worth in May. Wanna' put on a demo game so the great unwashed can see how a game REALLY should be done? |
