I just read on a posting about Warrior 2009 that Artisan was displaying their new Renaissance figures. I assume this is for the French Religious Wars. What I read was just a cursory note. I went on their site but no information there. Does any one have any further information and perhaps pics?

I thought they were for Italian wars. They are not in Pluderhosen (excuse spelling)
They looked nice but there were only a few packs at Dave Ts stand

That's strange. The word I had, some time ago, was that at some point in the future Artisan was going to produce a French Wars of Religion line. I guess I'll have to get ahold of the folks at Artisan. Thanks for the reply.

Remember, one can never have too many landsknechts!

Any pictures of the Artizan landsknechts? I checked the Artizan site and did not see any mention of the new line. frown

I may be wrong Richard :P

I just wrote Artizan (ya John I got your spelling correction – I was using the good old Merican spelling grin) asking for more information.

I just got a message from Mike at Artrizan and he said you were right Lowtardog, these are for the Italian Wars. Ya, more Landsknechts. He still plans to do French Wars of Religion but no time table has been set.

Are there pics somewhere?
Nothing on the Artizan website…

Condottiere25 Nov 2009 4:43 p.m. PST

Lack of pics is most disturbing, since they are apparently available at UK shows. Rich, maybe your contact at Artizan can send a few piccies to you so you can share them with we gaming-peasants?

They where not available at the recent Warfare show, Dave Thomas had about 8 sample figures on his stand in the display cabinet.
No doubt when more are made we will see some sneak previews on web sites. I only wished I had snapped some for you all.
All the best,
Mark.

One can hope. Happy that another company is "engaging" this period.

Rich Knapton26 Nov 2009 2:46 p.m. PST

I got ya a picture. I swiped it from the Artizan Yahooo group.

They look good to me. Kind of a cross between Foundry and OG as far as body type. I don't know when they will be for sale.

This is the first of a line that will encompass the whole 16th century western Europe. Life is good.

There is a notice that four packs are available and will go up on the Artizan site tomorrow for purchasing. Goody, goody! That just got put on my to-do list.

They look really fine! Looking forward to more.

They are up and running:

Look even better without paint. laugh

For those in the USA, they are available from Brigadegames:

Artiszan is running a special unit price and I bought two unit packs: 48 figures.

John over at Brigade Games is a nice guy to work with and honest to boot. Today he was running a heck of store (only) sale. I picked up 15-16 packs of TAG Spanish for half off. Sweet!

Not to bring you down from your lead high, but the Artizan regimental packs are 20 figures each:

Still a good deal.

Rich Knapton27 Nov 2009 5:50 p.m. PST

Well, it's a good think I order 2 packs. grin

I need to make a correct. John is not with Brigade Games. He owns the Panzer Depot. Me bad. He also owns Mainly Miniatures (I think that's the name). It's a wholesale operation.

Just received my first packs of the beauties from Lon at Brigadegames. Very clear, crisp, fine detail. Look like they'll be fun to paint and they seem relatively compatible with Foundry and Old Glory.

Am I the first on my block to get the new toys?

Atheling11 Dec 2009 8:15 a.m. PST

They would go well with Foundry, not so sure about OG personally.

Cheers,

Darrell.
