I have started the process of converting my Mechwarrior figures from the annoying click-bases to a more standard base. In addition, I will be looking (in some detail) to make a rules variant of an existing set (ie Dirtside II). I have started a blog to track progress and invite you to provide input if interested either here or via comment on the blog. headbutzhovel.org |

Bryan, have you looked at Fast and Dirty 4? It meets most all of your criteria nicely, and it is free to boot. I just finished rebasing my own MW collection as well. All the 250+ infantry got individually rebased on buttons for skirmish gaming, and I converted some 40mm poker chips to serve as squad-sized bases for the infantry as needed. Vehicles are not based. The large mechs go onto 40mm poker chips and the smaller ones on to the 25mm variety. Good luck with your project! Jason |

I'm downloading it now to take a peak. I was a bit worried about Googling the link since I'm at the office, but what the heck, I have a door! And it was an anti-climatic search ;-) First link was right to the rules at freewebs.com/weaselfierce I have been basing my troops on washers (I'll get the exact sizes later tonight
brain malfunction right now). My next update on the blog will be details on my rebasing with photographs. |

Sorry-I should have included the link! I was rushing to send it before my boss came back-am in office too. Fast and Dirty 4 is great-fast, detailed, and very elegant in its mechanics. Hope it helps. Looking forward to seeing your pics-will try to take some of my own. |

I am using fender washers. Mechs go on 2 inch washers and infantry goes on 1 inch washers. Large vehicles don't get washers, small ones, and hover vehicles do. Buildings are N-Scale paper models |

What rules are you using, Turbo Pig? |
