Great story and pics – I see you have made good use of the Foundry Freikorps and Cossacks!

Very cool! I'm just curious, what type of gaming mat were you using? I like the looks of it.

Really well done, especially like how there was support wagons and how the camp was set up.

Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) did the minis for the 7th Sea game. They're long OOP, but you can still find some of them in online shops such as Noble Knight. They also pop up (infrequently) on Ebay. I *think* the lady on the right comes from the Ussura Personalities pack, but I couldn't find a photo online.

Is this a novel theory to explain the Permian Extinction? 99% of life and 95% of species wiped out by 18th Century Dragoons? I gotta go back to school and catch up! Great report and lovely photos!

Cardinal Hawkwood25 Nov 2009 5:25 p.m. PST

Yes those Dragoons have a few environmental questions to answer..

Nice illustrated story.
Perhaps they should speak to their commissary officer about getting some insect spray!

That is a really great writeup. No offense, but halfway through, I forgot this was a game and looked at the pictures more as an illustration.

How was the game actually run? In mainly narrative form with a smattering of board-play? Or the other way around and the narrative added in after the fact. Just curious…

Cardinal Hawkwood28 Nov 2009 10:13 p.m. PST

As a continuing narrative with series of episoddes set up as necessary ..The enarrative as written up was by me, who ran it , the Kein namen player and the last bit added on by the Lutowski player. the pics were illustrations, as these things happen the more involved the action the fewer pics get taken,,
