Are there any manufacturers doing 20mm science-fiction figs out there? I need some for my Sydmic Empire troops for my 15mm Traveller project, and 20mm should about fit the bill.

Thank you!

Liberation Miniatures and Star Colony 20 spring to mind. There may be some from Platoon 20 via Tony at ERM soon(ish).

Cheers
Mark

Reviresco still makes the classic 1/72 scale sci-fi figure line for STARGUARD!

There's over 200 different figures ranging from human troops, aliens, robots, AFVs and heavy weapons, civvies, xenomorphs, and etc:

Our soon to be released Heavy Grav Tank can be used as a Light to Medium Tank in 20mm scale.

See the Dropship Horizon blog for more info on the range:

Thank you all for the suggestions and links. In the old Judges Guild "Ley Sector" the Sydymites were described as humans who were around 8' tall, so I thought some 20mm figs would do well for them next to my 15mm stuff.

Farstar23 Nov 2009 11:15 a.m. PST

Don't they also have four arms?

John Treadaway23 Nov 2009 1:29 p.m. PST

Farstar – glad you told us that in advance. Forewarned IS four armed…

BlackWidowPilot Fezian23 Nov 2009 10:33 p.m. PST

Four armed? Well, the the *Taurans* from Starguard have been *four-armed* for at least two decades now…. evil grin

The Sydymites are human, but big and tall lol!

Doing a little Traveller research, and found this.

I think the Sydymics were four-armed in T-20, and also described as ugly, so peter Pig Large Green Aliens might work. I don't think they were four armed in Classic Traveller.

Some English company had a massive range of 20mm human forces at one stage, including a grav tank called "David" ( Liked that for some reason :) ), then they passed the molds on and I haven't heard from them since. Must look back through my magazine collection and locate them . . .
