Hello,
I'm starting to paint some 1/3000 WW2 ships (Italian and British) for 1940-41 scenarios, can you help me? What colours should I use? I searched on the net and looked at one old second-hand book I have, but it looks like that the same ship got different schemes through the years (in other words, I'm confused :-).

The ships I'm going to paint are:

- Vittorio Veneto
- Giulio Cesare
- Gorizia
- Bolzano
- Pola
- Zara
- Trento
- Trieste

- Formidable
- Ark Royal
- Prince of Wales
- Ramilies
- Warspite
- Barham
- Renown
- Valiant
- Hood
- Berwick

I use arts & crafts acrylics from various brands, so I would prefer suggestions like "light grey" "dark grey" "wooden deck" etc. rather than manufacturers code of Tamiya, Humbrol etc.

Thank you in advance, and forgive me (if you can)
