Just wondering if anyone knows of another company that makes 6mm drop pods besides GW's epic.

Actually GZG and Exodus Wars both have drop pods.

Well it looks like I need to post a review on these. :)

That is a surreal post…

MiniatureReview21 Nov 2009 12:37 p.m. PST

Yea. I post and before anyone can answer, I answer my own post. :)

I have posted some pictures.

See, I told him that time machine was worth the money and would come in handy! ;-)

Did Germy make those GZG ones? They look like they're from his 2mm stuff… I like them.

Plastic Easter eggs.

Exodus Wars drop pods remind me of gamma world warbots…they might make good drones or remote platforms.

venusboys3,

Yep the Germ made those for GZG. You can find them in their GERMY'S MICRO MINIS section of the store.

There's also these:

The "Gun Pods" are dirt cheap -- you get 14 for 75 cents -- and they are similar in size to the original Epic 40K drop pods. Just trim off the gun on top and you're ready to go.

Not to be a nay sayer, and they are still a good deal…but I think that is .75 cents each and there are 14 in stock.

I think you can use my bugpods for large 6mm drop pods.

Those gun pods are indeed (14) for .75!

I was just ordering some other stuff from sciplus.com and rounded the order up to the full shipping category by throwing in a pack of these and each of the Buck Rogers flying thingies. They all look like they'll be good kaiju-fodder.

28mmMan22 Nov 2009 12:26 p.m. PST

That is great indeed…14@.75 crazy :)

Hi Legion,

The first picture of the pod on the left looks like the really old GW drop pod. Is that correct?

Yes that is the old G/W Drop Pod … I put it in there for Comparison … Here's a pic of my G/W Drop Pods, Speeders, etc. .. just FYI picture

I think you might be showing your age with all those old GW sculpts. :)

I actually picked a bunch of those for $.50 USD each at a flea market. :)

I had never seen them before.

Nice Find !!

stenicplus26 Nov 2009 4:09 a.m. PST

I made up the paper ones and they look fine, I stuck pennies on the bottom to give them weight.

You'll need to scale them to get the right size for you.
