Hi all, need some assistance.
I'm looking for a 15mm model which would fill in for the above gun, (either 'straight' or converted). I don't expect anyone makes one. Check out the pics here:-

Many thanks

I'd start with a Krupp gun carriage from a "small" 15mm manufacturer, such as Freikorps (I'd look at replacing the wheels, but good ones of that size are hard to come by), adding a tube of a similar configuration. Freikorps has something roughly close in their Spanish-American War range, but I know I have something better--I just can't think what it is!

I was planning on expandng the Dutch range to include most of the veld guns etc, when I owned True North Productions. Not enough time or money…sigh!

I was looking at some colonial ranges for the base carriage.

franco prussian & Russo-japanese war perhaps?

trust Allen to pick the one war inbetween I didnt think of!

That's only because it was the one I could spot, Kevan!

I bet Mal will have some ideas when the globe has turned a bit.

It looks a bit like a mountain gun in some ways & there might be something suitable in one of the colonial ranges. The Boer War might be another suitable source. Here is PPs screw gun which might be acceptable for the carriage – the barrel looks a bit big. picture

QRF do some carts with rubber tyres that might be suitable donors for the modernised version – their German WWII supply wagon is the one I'm thinking of.

Somewhere buried in a box somewhere I have a 15mm ACW gun the wheels of which would also look about right for the spoked variety shown in the pic. No idea of the manufacturer sorry, it's about 30 years old!

The screw gun is a good idea, Huw. Minifigs makes one with a separate barrel; as with PP's it would need the flare at the muzzle removed. But both have much too small carriages, IMO.

There are some 15mm Russo/Japanese war guns that may fit the bill.
If you only need one or two, why not scratch build? The photograph shows uniform dummies standing along side the gun. That is a very useful starting point when working out how big it is.

For more modern tyres you may need some from a small car as its probably about the size they would use.

As it is a 57mm, you know immediately that the barrel thickness will be similar to most 6pdr guns. The breech is of an old style and can be cut from an appropriate model or just filed into shape from spare sprue.

Pretty easy really.

Thanks for those suggestions gentlemen, I think I'm going to have to scratchbuild

Don't know if this is your scale, or if the gun you want is in there, but they have a lot of obscure guns in their list.
