I will be in the Philippines tomorrow.

Are there any wargamers from TMP living there? I tried the member locater and found one gamer with similar interests, and who is a supporting member so I can PM, but no response so far.

I will be diving in Davao. But I pass in through Clark and out through Manila.

Cheers

Neil

Chortle,
I once found a blog online that was put together by some gamers in the Phils., but they were fantasy/Warhammer players. Now I can't find it.
If you wander too far east on Mindanao you'll be in a real war!!

BTW, my wonderful wife is from the north coast of Mindanao-Cagayan de Oro. I asked her if she knew any wargamers in high school or college and she answered 'nah!'.

I used to live there, although the vast majority of wargamers are GW or Warmachine/Hordes focused. Didn't know anyone who did historicals besides me.

It looks like this is going to be an outdoor pursuits health kind of trip. I was hoping to balance the outdoor side with some indoor, pasty faced, geeky stuff. Blimey, I'm turning into the Marlborough man!

Yes, outdoor pursuits. My wife and I were there in 2007 and I had a great time with outdoor pursuits. Since I was entertaining the Mrs., her sister, and two teenage cousins I stayed away from 'old stuff and figures'. Island hopping to Boracay and Bohol was nice-dolphin watching, holding a tarsier, seeing the chocolate hills, etc.. A grand time!

I hope we can go back in 2010

Well, that gentleman who wrote "Playable Napoleonic Wargames" is still there, isn't he? He might be up for some indoor games…

Hi all I live in the Philippines and have a dedicated wargame room. I live at Tarlac, Luzon, about half an hour from Clark and two hours from Manila. So if anybody wants a game pls get in touch.
