I managed to slink into a ROMAN SEAS game being held at Fall In, Saturday during the day. This is Eric Hotz' new rule system for ancient galley warfare. We used his paper ship galleys (PDF printout, cut, glue and paste, and voila, a fleet!). I found myself admiring the rules quite a bit and loving the ships tremendously. The rules strike a nice balance between detail and playability. Recap here: link Yes, I'm buying a couple of CDs worth of Mr. Hotz's creations. Walt |

They do exist, Mandy. A bound copy was one of the prizes for the game. Alas, I did not win one. :-D |

Walt, were you in the 10 am game or the 3 pm game? I was in the 3 pm game and had a great time! First half of the game I kicked butt
second half it became apparent that I had used up all my good die rolls in the first half

This page contains the Roman Seas rules information: link This is where you can purchase the Roman Seas rules: link The Roman Seas rules are available in hard copy (perfect bound book w/CD) and in PDF (email attachment delivery, or on CD).
The Roman Seas rules will be available from RPGNow. (as an instant PDF download). as soon as I get the time to set the store page up. The last two weeks have been very busy with both the Roman Seas and the new Larry Leadhead book coming out almost at the same time. I have been juggling my time between these and my job at the same time. E.H. |
