Looks like a wonderful game! That first picture of the rear of the French line shows a great way to base figures of that erea. They are almost shoulder to shoulder. Most of us have our figures too far apart. Any idea of what those infantry units represented? They appear to be 15 files wide, and many ranks deep. With voltigeurs deployed as skirmishers, 90 or mor per unit? GdeP. |

GdeP, the figures in the first picture look like Old Glory 10mm strips. I like the figures for the very reason you mention; they really capture that shoulder-to-shoulder look. |

Cheers all!:-) GdeP, as Scomac says, they are indeed Old Glory 10mm..which I base on 15mm base sizes, and use for GdB. They come in 5 figure strips at 25mm, so fit just right, giving for French, 90 figures to a Btn, in 3 ranks. I do 2 bases per Btn (each of 45 figures) and they are shown in that picture in Btn coloumn, one base behind the other. I feel they give that "mass effect" look quite well, in a way that would be difficult to do with 15mm (not that I'm knocking 15's, I have them too). |
