With moderm combat call of duty about to come out, and all the rulesets coming out, there is nothing for the modern war period, i would love to see something sexy looking like flames of war or black powder for this period.

Something like legends of the old west, where you can pick a squad with a leader figure, add abilies and weapons and head odd to any part of the world, or become a evil cell or gang and fight back…?

would be cool.. fingers crossed, i once found out " firefight " from GW in modern but its lost somewhere i think..?

Dogs of war springs to mind?

Two Hour Wargames' Chain Reaction 3 (free) does modern well, as well as a bunch of other genres. If you want more depth, FNG from THW covers Vietnam.

It depends exactly what aspect of "modern" you want, but it's definitely worth a look.

There is also 'Over There' -- these rules started out as WWI skimrish but if you give them a look today, they are 100% modern.

Yes i will take a look at flying lead, but i think thats the only new system for modern, most at the mo is aimed at Naps etc…

I'm atm trying to create a set of rules for Parkfield Miniatures based on their Johnny is Gone for a soldier skirmish rule set…it'll be targeted at 20th century conflict but I have modern stuff in mind…
