I seem to recall there is a company that produces a 12 man team of Russian Spetznaz in Afghanistan that are based on a pretty grim movie. For the life of me I can't find a link. Can anyone help? Thanks. |

Just so you know, they're airborne (VDV) of course spetsnaz look just like any other troops and the 10th co are suitably "independent"looking Very very nice minis =) SOV 03 SUMMER DRESS- AFGHANISTAN 1 are also quite fitting =) |

"Spetsnaz is a contraction and any spelling onther than Spetsnaz is not acceptable at all!" |

I'm painting mine up at the moment for a game in December. There is a lot of good character figures in there. Some of the best sculpts to have come out of Mongrel. I also bought the summer dress Soviets to go with. Its good to have the film to watch for inspiration. |

"Anyone know the name of the movie the minis were inspired from?" The Mongrel list gives a hint: it's "9 Rota" (9th Company), by Sergei Bondarchuk's son Fyodor. Should be required viewing. Allen |
