I've set this one up to cover my progress with a new 15mm Napoleonic army (Austrian Avant Garde, 1809), and new rules (Lasalle). The name is very tongue in cheek, reflecting the propensity of Napoleonic rules writers to use certain words (and pidgin French) in their titles. nickthelemming.wordpress.com I'm also very interested in adding more links to other blogs (particularly Napoleonic ones), so get in touch if you're interested in swapping links. |

Cheers! I'm very new to blogging, so I'm really only using the standard features of this blog software. I intend the focus to be on Lasalle and 15mm Napoleonic wargaming in particular, but I might occasionally delve into a few other useful bits, such as decent and informative websites, figure reviews etc. |

You hit the Motherlode of titles, managing to get Glory, Eagles and l'Empereur in the title in one fell swoop. Nicely done! |

Thanks! I wanted Age and Battles in there too if I could, but the title would have been a little too unwieldy. ;) |

I agree, great title! As good as OFM's suggestion to rename FoG as "Fields of Guts." |

Nick, why not just do the Vienna Volunteers as Landwehr figures – AB do some great Landwehr, I've re-based 5 Landwehr/Freiwilliger battalions just this afternoon – and if you want a Fusilier battalion then choose one as appropiate to your chosen OB. I could be wrong but I'd be surprised if LaSalle (my copy's on Order) doesn't encourage the use of historical formations. The "army builder" lists that Sam has included are for if you want to just knock up a quick hypothetical game without thinking too much but that wont prevent you from using an actual historical OB. I thought about going with that idea (Landwehr), but I didn't want my opponents to possibly think thy were facing an inferior battalion. Having thought about it some more, I'm going to do them up as one of the other IRs, though I'm not sure which at the moment – it will be another of the Wagram battalions. I'm using the army builder to form this army, since that's what we'll mostly be using at the club for pick up games, but I did want them to be historically accurate (or as near as I can get) in case we do any historical scenarios too. |

If I'd known about them, yes. :p I don't think Rob does the flags too does he? I didn't see them on the website, anyway. Of course, I could say it was my idea to support a fellow Brit and order from the homeland, rather than from those dastardly colonials, but then my wife (an American) would probably hit me with something again. |
