Sorry for any cross posting. I bought these miniatures on E-Bay about a year ago. I do not remember how much I paid for them, but it was around $2.00 USD a plane and that included shipping. I do not believe Falcon Miniatures has a web presence. I found them advertised in the back of CY6 rule book or I would not have known about the company nor probably have bought these planes.

1st off, these miniatures had a lot of flash. I should have taken a photo of them before I started grinding. I say grinding instead of filing, because I used a Dremel on each one. It took about 5 minutes to grind away the flash on each miniature. The alloy that Falcon Miniatures is quite hard and I am glad I own a Dremel. Here is a photo after I have ground off the flash. One of the miniatures was short cast, the nose was considerably shorter than it should have been. The glass canopy is shaped like an He-116, not an He-111. Again, I did not buy them from Falcon and if I had, I would be irritated if this showed up on my doorstep cast the way it was.

Here are a couple of photos of them unpainted

Here is a photo of the short cast, I have not finished the short cast miniature.

I really love the nose of the He-111, it comes out very nice. I also like the look of the ventral cupola. One of the down sides of the miniature is the very wide panel lines on the wings, but I do not think that minus detracts too much from the miniature. It is head and shoulders over the Navwar/H&R He-111. I got one of those as a bonus for buying some other minis and there is no comparison.

anyone have pics or measurements on the Ju88a?
whats the wintip to wingtip on the falcon He111?

what sized magnets did you use on the He111?

the base speed/altitude displays look great did you hand make that?

I used 3/16" dia. x 1/32" thick Grade N52 – Nickel Plated magnets made by K&J magnets.

The wing span is 3 1/4 inches.

The bases are made by Forge World with Litko acrylic rods.

They look nice: what are those three parallel white stripes? Never saw that before…

Tuscaloosa,
Those are "Formation Bars" which I assume are used to designate a formation leader and allow easier identification to other bombers as to which plane to follow, especially when first starting to form up. The US version uses highly garish paint schemes for the Formation bombers (i.e bright colors, polka dots, etc) Germans are probably a little more sedate and a few white bars are sufficient for them…

As far as I know they only occur in BoB as the Germans didn't have such massed bomber formations after that.

If you look really close, they are pink. It might not show in the photo. I do not think that there are many if any other aircraft that had pink markings in WWII.

Mike,
They look slightly pink in the photo, but you have to squint to see it. The only other planes I know of that are intentionally pink are a B-24 formation ship and some recon Spitfires. Some desert planes ended up pinkish as the desert yellow paint faded with more red tones standing out.
