Im curious what this was made up of in the case of the 1st battalion (with the eagle). I was looking to make a small base with 5-6 figures on it. I know to include the eagle bearer himself and also a couple of guards with halaberds. Not sure of their proper name.

According to the Osprey 'Napoleon's Light Infantry', the Premier Porte-Aigle is front and centre carrying the flag with the Deuxieme-Porte-Aigle to his right and the Troisieme Porte-Aigle to his left, both of whom are armed with halberd and pistols. There are corporals stationed behind 1 and 3 and a fourrier behind 2, then three more fourriers in the third rank.

I'm afraid I have no idea what a fourrier is.

Fourrier = farrier = blacksmith/armourer.

According to my French dictionary:

Fourrier – Sous-officier chargé de pourvoir au logement des soldats, de répartir les vivres, etc.

A lower level officer in charge of arranging lodging, meals, etc.

blucher, the eagle guards would have pennants attached to their halbreds- a red pennant for the first, right-hand, guard and a white pennant for the second. The pennants are embroidered with 'Napoleon' on one side and the number of the regiment on the other. Osprey's Napoleon Line infantry has a good black and white copy of a print by Job. The Victrix right arm, holding the eagle, has a fringed epaulette whereas the eagle was supposed to be carried by a junior officer, as far as I can make out, who would not have an epaulette on his right shoulder but would have one on his left. I suppose you could carve off the epaulette but I've made the eagle bearer a senior NCO, which is how the Job print depicts him. Hope this helps.
