They look really great. I think Republican Romans and Epirotes will be one of my projects in the not too distant future. Can't resist more lovely jumbos! Just out of interest, are the basic Pyrrhic pachyderm models the same as those hiding under all the Sassanid stuff? |

Really, really nice Keith. I love the mahout with the painted armour. Cheers, Simon |

Brilliant stuff. I like the size/scale and they're really characterful. You're gonna do a Punic version, I hope? |

Phil The beasts are the same with a minor leg change. Four rear toes and the ropes meet
LOL. Dave P We will do a Punic version with an African beast sometime around the end of the year start of next. Adam has two more sets of the Indian elephants to do yet and I don't think a whole new elephant is what he wants after all of these. The Punic one will be completed as he designs the Roman range. Thanks folks, Adam has done a great job on these. |

Hi Kieth, V. nice. How tall are Aventine figs (sole of foot to top of head in mm please)? I'm doing a Punic Wars collection with Renegade and need some bits and pieces. Will you be doing Numidian cavalry? When? Best Regards, James olicanalad.blogspot.com |

How about a Seljuk or Ghaznavid Elephant? I think Essex put one out over two decades ago. There is a picture of it the FOG Byzantine book, but I'm looking for something else to include in my armies. |

I am being disciplined and leaving my dedicated Seleucid herd as is – some veteran Hinchliffe (Macedonians) with a lone Empire armoured giant. If I do need more then there are some largish plastics in reserve with a pikeman astride. I did succumb and buy 2 each of the 'regular' Sasanid and Pyrrhic thumpies – echo Simon's comment on the very high quality of the casting. The detail on the crew will make their eventual paint job much 'easier'. Cannot wait to see what the Pyrrhic infantry/cavalry will be like – I believe that there will be both Epirot and Tarentine pike figures. |

I gather that some of the Epirot infantry and cavalry figures will be variants on some of the elephant crewmen. This is good news as I like the crewmen a lot, especially the chap in the Thracian helmet with the mask and the archers. The latest archer on the Seleucid has a lovely pilos. Cheers, Simon |
