Williamsburg Muster staff will be at Fall In – bump into us and say Hi!

Chuck – Will be running a Russian Civil War game Friday at noon.

Carl – Located at Miniatures of Chesapeake in the vendors hall

Jim – Located at Cotton Jim Flags in the vendors hall

Justin – Wandering around meeting people and passing out Muster Flyers.

We'd love to take the time to tell you about the games we had last year, the games we'll have this year, our great vendors and sponsors, and how you can get involved (playing, reffing, or just having fun). We'll see you there!!

Blue Devil 88? Nice name… what are the origins there?

Blue Devil 8804 Nov 2009 6:37 p.m. PST

My great uncle, who was my godfather was a rifleman in Company C 350th Infantry Battalion of the 88th Division, which fought in Italy and which was the first division whose membership was totally draftees.

The Germans named the division the Blue Devils after their division badge (blue clover)and their fighting ability.

My uncle was wounded twice and received two bronze stars but never talked much about it. As a matter of fact, I knew he had been wounded but I didn't find out about the bronze stars until I got a hold of his discharge records. Just goes to show you, don't mess with 5'6" red-headed boilermakers.

The Blue Devil 88 is in honor of him and the division he fought with during the war.

Justin

BTW, Nice Napoleonic Rules set and hopefully I'll get to meet you at Fall-In. I'll be either at Miniatures of Chesapeake or Cotton Jim's stand.

We hope you can make it to the Muster.

Ah, interesting stuff! I'll certainly stop by the flag stand, I am curious to see them, and if you want to stop by and say hi on Saturday evening when I am doing my nappy game that would be great!:D

Thanks!
