Following on the heels of Top Gun Ace's thread about his new grav-tanks, I went looking for some hexagon tile sheeting to use for futuristic reactive armor. What I found was that, while Plastruct and Evergreen failed me, dollhouse enthusiasts seem to have access to this stuff for retro tile flooring. So I ordered two sheets of hexagon tile styrene sheet in order to evaluate them.

This one has 1/8" wide hexes:

This one has 1/16" wide hexes, which I figure will come in handy for my microarmor kitbashing purposes:

We'll see how the quality looks when they arrive in 7 to 10 days. Hopefully they'll turn out to be good enough to allow for some cool kitbashes and scratchbuilds!

Thanks,

Thanks for posting the info and links.

Those will be useful for me as well, since I have a few other designs to use them on.

I was looking into custom brass etching, and/or laser cutting, but the prices were cost-prohibitive.

Best regards,

Rob

Look forward to your evaluation. I saw some of this kind of stuff at a local store But felt is was too thick to be useful for my application.

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned about the thickness, too. But, in the absence of any other product like these, I'm willing to at least give it a go.
