This may seem an odd question, but the disregard wargamers and manufactures seem to have with scale means I'd like to know: some people here seem to think 10mm is 1:144 and 15mm is 1:100. So if you have some can you measure them head to toe please. Thanks |

25mm to 26mm heroic 1/72 about covers them. Weapons and helmets are over sized. Might work well with some metal ranges I wonder if anyone has check on that. LLC aka Ron |

These figures are much larger than almost every other box of 1/72 figures I've bought. They're great figures, but they do not mix with other brands of 1/72. I have the US infantry set and really like the ability to customize figures with arms and weapons. Unfortunatly unless I get a box of the German, these figures in my collection are going to be orphans. They will not make it to the table top for a game with other 1/72 figures. I have since made units from boxes from Italeri, Revell, and HaT. Mike |

Would they go with 25s like Foundry perhaps? I presume they are too small to mix with any 28s. |

They sit okay next to GZG's 25mm as far as height goes. Hope that helps some. |

I asked the same question. picture The Valiant and Revell are almost the same height but I find the Valiant figures are bulkier. Height wise I think they are spot-on for 1/72nd scale. Michael in Abbotsford. link |

Quotes from Plastic Soldier review says it all "The sculpting of these figures is very crisp and clear and the proportions are nicely done but the scale is a problem. While the box claims 1/72 scale these figures average 26mm in height, which scales up to 1.87 metres – much too tall for 1945. The weapons and equipment are equally over-sized, and the figures have a slightly chunky feel which reminds us of metal figures rather than the elegant plastic examples we usually see. The result is that these do not mix very well with figures from other manufacturers as you can see from our comparison page. With virtually no flash and only a small amount of excess plastic these are well produced models, but their unusual style limits their usefulness for many." |

the figures aren't 1/72 , the closest match would be 1/64 .. they are very similar scale wise to the corgi 1/64 figures

Essentially, they are too big for me at any rate. PSR covers it very well. |

Being from the same-ish stable, do they mix well with Raventhorpe figures and vehicles? |

"do they mix well with Raventhorpe figures and vehicles?" Yes. |

Last Hussar, I like the 1/72 vehicles with Valiant minis. The vehicles that look the best IMHO are Dragon, Armourfast, and Forces of Valour. If you only want to game NW Europe with just Valiant minis, cool. If you want Eastern Front, North Africa, and Italy then go with the bendy smaller plastics, and smaller metals. That being said, I myself really like the Valiant minis, big size and all. |

I have a LOT of 20mm British in metal. I am trying to decide whether to go Valiant for both sides (get rid of metal), or get a German platoon in metal. I wondered about size because the 20mm seem to be bigger than Airfix 1/72. Thanks for all the replies. I've learnt I can't mix them. Still undecided as to which way to go: its for TW&T, and I only need a platoon or so, plus support. (I had to look back to find who/what PSR was- to me it means Pre-Sentence Review!) |

If you've got lots of metal you might be happy with them. I've got a platoon of Valiants and a set of Sergeant Majors Minis in the same army, and they look okay together to me. Don. |

I use them with 1/60th vehicles. The vehicles are a tad large, but they work. They aren't out of the ball park. |

I've found where some of my Arrfix are, and they are about 21-22mm (ie usable with the metal), which makes them about 5'2"! |
