At least two groups gathered today to assemble miniatures for our Battle of Sabis club game, which will be run at our convention, Huzzah!, next spring.

Bob Kane, Henry Coll and Chris Penney met in Hollis where they assembled 150 German infantry for the Nervii forces.

Josh Twombley, Chris Boynton, Wes deCampos and Rob Marden gathered at Greenhouse Games in Gardiner, Maine and assembled another 120 Germans.

I have a list of others who are working individually on Nervii and Romans and will update the MHWA forum this week with a full status update for the project.

If you have not heard about this project, here are the basics. Wargames Factory started it all when they donated more than 3,000 figures to our club to put on a game, the Battle of Sabis. Scale Creep Miniatures then donated all the Litko bases for the miniatures. The club (Maine Historical Wargamers Association) needs to assemble, paint, base, and run the game on May 1st, 2010. Its a big project but we have folks from across the state of Maine working together, as well as volunteers from NH, MA, NY, VT, and even some from out West!

You can check out the project and some pictures of today's activities at link
