Took a break from WWII and played a scenario in vietnam. Hope you don't mind the post in this section since most of the website concerns WW II.

How about sharing the details of your solitaire campaign rules. And what changes you made to TW&T to accomodate Vietnam?

Thakns.

Bede,
Do you have a specific question? The solitaire rules are in draft form and I have sent them to Rich at Too Fat Lardies to look at. They focus on squad to company level combat and they help the player generate a story that affects the table top. For example: How well you did on your last mission and what the company commander thinks of your platoon could determine how many replacements you get for the next mission. Characters and non characters interact but the only things you track ( or care about) are factors that affect the table top. The rules have 3 parts and are not limited to solo play but are designed that way because solo players often have the time to devote to "fleshing out" the characters and story.
Part I Character traits and tables
Part II Scenarios, terrain tables and enemy forces encountered
Part III In game and pre game events
The rules are not tied to any one system and should work with small skirmish stuff "nuts" to platoon stuff to comapny stuff (battlefront). With tweaking they would work well with battalion or division level.

With TW&T I use "Lazy TW&T" found in the specials. Automatic rifles get a +1 die bonus and pin on 1-2. I made it harder to spot the VC as well. Am working with Rich on a Charlie Don't Surf edition of rules that will be out eventually.

Feel free to ask more questions. I could talk all day about this because I am excited about it. There is nothing else like it out there. (biased opinion) I don't talk about the system on the website because the website is for stories and scenarios. I will not be able to answer anything for 2 weeks however. I am leaving for a big homeland defense excercise tomorrow.

Thanks

Joe
