Wargames figures or just figures to anyone who I expect to know what wargaming is. Miniature soldiers or toy soldiers to less discerning contacts. |
| nebeltex | 30 Oct 2009 7:04 a.m. PST |
figure flats, and each one has an individual name. |
| Tommy20 | 30 Oct 2009 7:40 a.m. PST |
Among non-gamers, I say Toy Soldiers. Among gamers, either Figs or Mini's. |

Minis, although since those little bottles of booze are called the same thing, people think I'm an alcoholic when I say I've got thousands of them. |
| Martin Rapier | 30 Oct 2009 11:34 a.m. PST |
Toy Soldiers, or just the more generic 'Toys' to include vehicles, planes, ships, horses, artillery, spacecraft etc. If feeling pretentious I might refer to some vehicles as 'models', but only the ones I've scratchbuilt or converted. |
| leidang | 30 Oct 2009 11:51 a.m. PST |
I name them Legion for they are many and endless. |
| svsavory | 30 Oct 2009 12:01 p.m. PST |

When explaining what I do, I call them toy soldiers -- as in, "I'm just a big kid who plays with toy soldiers for fun". When I am talking about them in general with other gamers, and not referring to a particular army ("I'll bring my Russians") – generally "guys" as in "I can bring enough guys for both sides for tonight's game" Make a good poll. |
| Paul Y | 30 Oct 2009 7:50 p.m. PST |
Miniatures, figures, 'minis', toy soldiers or 'little people', depending on the audience ;) Cheers, Paul. |
