Back again for advice on figures. These guys are just perfect for making up a combat unit for a Very British Civil War game. picture Not with bows, but guns. Crucial for the figure is the longish coat -- mid thigh and the round hat, topped with ball. I can lose the feathers and the gloves. Shoulder wings optional. I can convert almost anything if I can get a close match with coat and hat. Thanks for any help. I will put these guys on the side of the legitimate monarch -- Duke of York (George) |

Are you going to send them into combat in their ceremonial uniform? |

I should hope so. Otherwise, what's the point? |

Thanks John, you understand :) Frederick, thanks for that idea. Indeed those mutiny figs have a round hat with a pom pom. I have some of these so will check them out. The short coat and back pack seem problematic, and the hat is a pill box, and the archers have a hat that is head fitting at bottom and then flairs out at the top. This is exactly the "out of the box" thinking that is needed, however. |

How about the Foundry FPW French seamen, or some of the Perry Carlist war figures? |
