Yes I don't think it should be restricted to the Premier League--There are lots of other teams out there and even some in Scotland other than the Old Firm

Like Last Hussar, I am a Tottenham Fan, which means by default I have to dislike Hastati (not really) – but I will banter back and forth with him over football ;-) I don't have the hatred of Arsenal – of course I want us to beat them or do better than them (I have vague memories of this), but I'd rather see them win than a Northern team. At least these days under Wenger they play football the Spurs way (well, as Spurs used to, not how we seem to the last few years, mores the pity) :-) |

Old North Banker here
So Arsenal it is! It's hornbyesque to remember how Arsenal filled up my life so much at one point
and in the droll years as well (!)
Yet now I can go years without desperately needing to be physically there. The Premiership. Overrated league it most definitely has become with a fawning media that constantly participate in a host of superlative adjectives. I prefer watching Champions League knock-out rounds. |

Liverpool since 1975; Leeds prior to that, converted in the glory days of the 70' (well I wa a teenager and modelled my game on Emelyn Hughes) |

.>> So you pass everything sideways then? Lifelong Gunner, including a great-great-grandfather who played for them when they first formed (known as "Dial Square" then "Royal Arsenal"). My grandfather was born the day of their first match in the old 1st Division when they got promoted in 1904. |

Yeah, but they nicked our ground. |

Same as it's been for 40 years Bath, a great team. |

I'm honour-bound to agree with you there – as a Gashead I'm delighted we have the Mem these days, but look fondly back on the Twerton Park days, and certainly view Bath as local friends rather than local rivals. |
