After many years away from 25mm Napoleonics (last time was in the mid-70s with Minifigs and Der Kriegspielers
closer to 20mm I suppose), I am getting back into the period and scale. I have picked up some Perry and Victrix plastics and will also be doing some Perry metals. My question is, how will Front Rank, if kept in separate units, fit with Perry and Victrix. Thanks! |

Dom, Thanks so much! Those two photos are very helpful. I think if I keep them in separate units I will be fine. |

The three match up nicely. But be aware that the FR Nassau figs are bigger than the rest. |

Basilhare, thanks for the link, especially the comments about keeping them in the units which I what I plan to do. Schogun, thanks for the heads up on the FR Nassauers! |

Hmmm, in the first picture posted by Dom, the four on the left seem compatible. Front Rank is maybe a little more robust than Perry & Victrix. With similar paintwork, I suspect they'd look fine together on the game table. Dean |

"the four on the left seem compatible" They are (from L to R); Companion, Elite, Front Rank, Victrix. All stuck on EM4 bases. The one on the far right is from Eagle and is a different pose. He's not as stunty as he looks there, it's the angle I took the photo from; I think Eagle are a very good fit as well and pretty cheap. Definitely worth buying a couple for a look at least. The remaining one (#5) is Bicorne. They have two "named" ranges (One is connoisseur which is probably compatible with Elite) plus their own range. You'd get away with them in different units, but they are the "slender" style rather than chunky. |

KatieL, Thanks for the review -- I have never been one to mix manufacturers in the same unit. |

Me neither. However, some people on TMP swear that you can't spot the difference but I can. I guess it is all about perception and attention to detail. That said, I have swapped the occasional parts between the Perry and Victrix figs (arms, hands, etc.) and it has worked fine. I have also seen others post some really interesting conversions. So to each his own. |
