Hi Guys -

I've been looking for casualty rings and can't seem to find them. I've been using notebook reinforcement rings but would like them in different colored plastic or that I could paint for different conditions. I've tried finding curtain rings but most companies have converted to metal.

Any ideas?

I got mine at a local fabric/sewing craft store. I also picked up some from the Tin Dictator. I don't believe he is still in business, but he may be able to give you a good lead.

Go to the sewing department of a major store , like Wal-Mart. You can get plastic curtain rings by the bagful.
They are called "cabone rings". I Googled the term to make sure I got the name right, and got tons of online stores that stock them.

Yes, white plastic curtain rings from a fabric store such as Joanna Fabrics do the trick for me.

You can also use the small colored rubber bands that are made for girls' ponytails. We use them almost totally now. They come in various colors and are very inexpensive. We got ours from a Dollar Tree store.

Here's a picture of some white ones as an example:

Craft store, kids section. Little round bead objects, things used to make bracelets. Very small and come in white, black, red, green, etc. Will usually fit on most figs somewhere, and doesn't detract from the look.

Guys -

I got some of the capone rings and some of the pony tail bands and also found that "O" rings work great for casualty markers. They are black in color are soft rubber so they won't harm anything, come in any size you want, plus they come in packs of 100 and are cheap.

I'm trying them all out. Thanks for the ideas.
