Can anyone give me a break down of these rules? I ordered them and I just want to get a rough idea of what I am getting! What is the sequence of play? How does shooting and movement work?

Cheers!

Sorry, I haven't heard of it, but BoardgameGeek has a listing for it.

Do you mean Starhound the fighter combat game from TTG?

I thought that went oop years ago. I have a copy from when I played it 25 years ago. Great game as I remember. Each fighter has stats for engines, hull points and weapons. You plot your movement secretly and then everyone moves at the same time. The more engines the faster the ship and more manoeuverable. Turns are A (10 degs) to F (60 degs) rated so a plot of 2C20 right means something like moving 10cm forward then 30 deg turn right, another 10cm and then anther 30 deg turn.

Shooting uses pecentile dice and depends on weapon, range and pilot rating. Damage knocks out weapons, engines etc.

very straight forward rules and great fun (or they were way back then!). There are advances rules for missiles etc too.

Like I said its been a long while but I still recall the game fondly. We used to play a galditorial format where the ships flew in an arena and the pilots had to be wary of the sides. Even more tricky if you had 2 arenas with a tunnel to traverse between them!

The movement allows for flying arcs. The faster you are going the bigger the turning circle/curve. Like aero fighters but with no max velocity. Not strictly correct physics wise but good cinema. I only wish I still had my QT models fighters. I must try and find some new ones……

I am going to use GZG tiny space fighters from the Full thrust line… Madness i know! I am on a budget here… Haha

I may upgrade to the slightly larger Aerotech Micro fighters from Iron Wind metals. Lots of haracter for small models!

I've not played that since about 1980! It was always a great game though. I wonder where my copy is…
