Evening All, I trust this finfs you all well, I've been well bitten by the VBCW and looking to put something a little different on the table. So I'm after period appropriate RAF Personnel, Pilots etc. Louche, chainsmoking young fellas in sports cars with a Hurricane or an Anson parked in Daddies back field kind of thing. Up for a scrap with that arriviste Mosely and positivly aghast at the Reds
I have a lovely little Early War British Army on the way for the GW WH which after spending bloody hours detailing I don't want to start ing about with armbands and so on. I felt that this may be an interesting start. Thoughts please Ladies & Gentlemen
Warmest regards as always, Old Goat. Sooooo
.Help me please |

Ebob Minis have a few possibilities from their Great Escape Range link |

I am looking for the same. Those eBob figs have potential as assorted civilians, if they would just get their hands out of their pockets! But these do not really match what Old Goat and I had in mind (if I may speak for him). Good stuff here. PDF link By the way, wasn't HRH Duke of York a Group Captain in the RAF, so that service should rally to him in his fight with his brother over the throne. Some potential among Pulp Figures link These might be too cold weather dressed link |

If you want pilots in flying kit, try BTD, they have a pilot figure wearing a service jacket and flying helmet. perfect for posing by a Gloster Gauntlet, Hawker Fury or a Bentley sports car. Then there's Copplestone who has a selection of pilots and useful chaps weraing roll neck pullovers. If you just want a chap in service kit, I'd look at Black Tree's personality figures. Bothe The Eisenhower and De Gaulle figures are ideal. Both are in jackets and trousers. The De Gaulle figure just needs a blob of millut added to the top of his kepi to make a cap, he already has a lit cigarette in his mouth. I've used both as British staff officers in the past but they would do equally well as RAF types. |

Jim Jones thanks for the BTD link. I will get those. Maybe do a head transplant with DeGaulle. Sepp Detreich seems perfect as a BUF officer too. How about contacting me regarding selling some CannonFodder Brits in overcoat beattie at umich.edu |

In the end went to Artizan, got a couple of good RAF types and also an RFC flyer. Very impressed actually, little or no flash, well defined and ready for a little Miliput action should one be so inclined
link and link Thanks for the links though, the EBOB ones look like a good place to carry on with my louche RAF types
