I dare anyone to beat this. I learnt last time I was in the UK that a new wargames club had opened 5 minutes from my house on the bus. The location has to be the best place in the world in terms of atmospherics. The Royal Artillery museum! Not only do you play surrounded by artillery pieces but their is the battlefield soundtrack playing in the background (and of course restaurant and bar). link You can see what the main hall is like here picture |

Yes, but it's in Woolwich, the boil-infested armpit of south east London |

We were in the Canadian War Museum for a while which was nice (although the parking sucked). There is the club in Belgium with a proper bar and lots of tables that looks the best I have seen yet. |

I work surrounded by noisy, smelly Artillery pieces and Gunners! It is nice to have a club in a pub 5 mins away from my house! sswg.synthasite.com Tally Ho! |

We used to meet at The Oasis. It was a local micro-brewery. We would play in the back room
. More than one cab ride was called some nights

The Tin Soldiers of Antwerp clubhouse is top. And 30 Km further west, there is yet another great clubhouse with excellent and complete bar fascilities! And at only 5 min walking from my house. Belgium = wargamers heaven ? |

We meet above a café (pub) in the center of Ghent (Belgium). It used to be part of an historical building called the "Vleeshuis". picture You can see the pub in front of the picture, with the Vleeshuis at the back/ There's not only the mediaval atmosphere, but like in all Belgian pubs a variety of great beers |

Hmm, well I guess that place and the museum lend themselves to either certain periods of gaming or certain styles! |

Our club was in the upstairs rooms of one of the hangers at RAF Gatow, formerly the Luftwaffe staff and technical college, "Luftkriegsschule Berlin-Gatow". History all around as well as on the gaming table!! |

Ahh Sterling, the many BAOR clubs all in their own ex Wehmacht accommodation complete with beer fridges except the Rhinehalen club which was an old school next to a bowling ally for a good supply of bratty and pommers! Hong Kong will takle some beating for service, the Mariners Club (1989) with waiter service bringing in burgers and ice cold Calrsburg! Tally Ho! |

There's a club at Bovington Tank Museum. That would be my top place. Tanks and countryside all around but bar-less I'd imagine, as is our club: It's in a church hall. Bloomin' Methodists! |
