When you log onto TMP, who do you first visit? It used to be Naps Discussion for me. Now its C18th Discussion. I guess it shows a change in interest. Both have lots of lively posts but the latter is a little more genteel in tone. |

I check the news first, then the latests post made, then to topics that interest me in their various sections |

I scroll down the page in the order in which I've arranged it. If there is a new poll, I might have a look at that and give the associated discussion the benefit of my opinion. I then scroll down to the main message boards and just look down to see what is of interest. If it is day when there isn't 'no topic with this id' anyway. News and stuff like that I've put at the bottom. I don't go to specific message boards unless I am bored with the front page. The only ones I regularly check are modern discussion, ww2 land and game design. |

Lately it has been the Dawghouse. I have found some really interesting posts buy looking at what people are getting shut down for. Found threads I would never have looked at. |

marketplace / exchange --news and messages will still be there, but taking advantage of a good deal won't wait while one learns of the latest trials and tribulations of the OFM

I always check the Dawghouse first. There's nothing like a good train wreck to liven up a morning, |

News first; then the boards. |
Ruben aka Qwirz | 15 Oct 2009 11:11 a.m. PST |
Hobby News always first. Then scroll down and I read all the new topics. If some of interest I step on reading the whole. |
John the OFM | 15 Oct 2009 11:40 a.m. PST |
I don't "log in" at all. TMP is my home page. I have not configured it in any way. I read things as they scroll down. If I compartmentalized anything, I might miss something. So, everything is turned on, and if I don't want to read anything, I don't. |
Shagnasty | 15 Oct 2009 1:23 p.m. PST |
I skip the ads and then just scroll down, reading the cool stuff, ya know? |

If nothing grabs me straightaway on Hobby News then its straight to the message boards starting in General
.there I look at blogs, GB gaming, painting
.then onto Napoleonic, 18th Century and then 19th Century checking all the sub boards. hussarbob1746.webs.com |

News Then I glance at for-sale on the sidebar, then scroll down to browse the message board entries. The only board I keep a regular eye on is SF Miniatures Discussion. |

News first Polls – Simply to vote "no" for any new "boards". One has to be vigilant. There's nothing like a good train wreck to liven up a morning I agree so for me it's off to the "Conventions" board to check on any HMGS-East posts. |
Ditto Tango 2 1 | 15 Oct 2009 8:09 p.m. PST |
I usually skip over hobby news – there is so much there in such high volume that I personally (my opinion) find it pointless – I really feel there should be a hobby news and an advertizer's news section – a sale at an on line store ain't "hobby" news. Again in my opinin. Main page then WWII discussion. -- Tim |

@ John the OFM Serious question: I've always wondered how long you spend on TMP per day? You must read nearly every post, because you always seem to be involved in every discussion I click on, even though I click on only about 10% of the discussions on TMP. Unless, of course, we have remarkably similar tastes and you only check the exact same 10% of discussions as I do :-) |
