many years ago, I think Garrison made a sci-fi range of figures that was a loose interpretation of Star Wars. And with the figures, I recall that they made a small range fo space ships, that were very much like cigars joined with wings.

Not detailed by today's standards, but I have a project in mind. Are these available anywhere (and I think not from the newly invigorated Garrison (great service again by the way!)).

Thanjs

Don't know about Garrison?

You might try Berstrom:

TOMD – excellent result! And there was me thinking Garrison had sold the rights to Duncan (must just be the figures).

Thanks for that

Now I need to work out what "Berstrom" is…….

NP.

I have some of the triple revengers and the stealth prototypes:

They look even better in person IMHO.

Situation re the 25mm range Duncan had is simple (?). He has no moulds or masters and will not be making them. I have his permission to make and sell the few I have moulds for but simply haven't had time – currently heavily tied up in gettinmg lots of nice Rose Wargames figures out. Anyone interested in these, Napoleonic French, Zulu Wars and few others should start appeared next week or so.

Garrison – I have a load of the range if they would be any help to you in making new moulds, Let us know

GarrisonMiniatures15 Oct 2009 8:18 a.m. PST

They would, thanks. Quite simply, although I won't claim to keep everything in production, I am trying to at least get moulds made of as many as possible as well as keeping as many as possible in production.

Are you at SELWG? I could bring what I can find down.

GarrisonMiniatures15 Oct 2009 11:32 p.m. PST

No, but if you post them I'll gladly refund postage and send you a few once the moulds are made.

Gladly – i shall rummage in the loft. Can I leave you the uneviable paint stripping task……

This ought to be a range that works for you – they were some of the most novel SF figures ever. Ok, a bit star wars influenced here and there, but no other figures look like them. And some of the robots were just ace.

GarrisonMiniatures17 Oct 2009 4:06 a.m. PST

Paint stripping is just one of those things that happen when you try to bring back old ranges…..

Marc the plastics fan20 Oct 2009 1:14 p.m. PST

Success! A fun hour rummaging in the loft amongst old lead (you know the sort of things – Old Citadel Spacefarers, Star Trek, even an Ian Livingstone special – the curse of over 30 years playing with toy soldiers) and I have found all my old Garrison/Greenwood and Ball star warriors.

Except – the tracked weapons platform and the fixed gun (a sort of anti-tank gun of the space ways) – found the crew, but the guns? So anyone else out there with these who could help garrison fill the range?

Mine are on their way to you tomorrow I hope – so enjoy!

GarrisonMiniatures28 Oct 2009 8:26 a.m. PST

And arrived safely thanks – the weapons are especially useful as I only had 1 version before.

Been a long time coming, Marc I don't have your address – could you email me so I can send you a load of goodies. Cheers.

Marc the plastics fan12 Apr 2010 4:01 a.m. PST

That is good news – in terms of the range resurrected, not the goodies (although I have sent you an email as well). I hope that there will be some interest in this retro range for you – especially given the Salute robot figure this year – some of those figures fell very "retro/pulp" to me. Did you manage to locate the bigger guns _ I recall a tracked vehicle and a static gun position, but they were nowhere to be found in my loft.

Regards

GarrisonMiniatures17 Apr 2010 4:49 a.m. PST

No, haven't got the guns – I don't have any of the original masters for this range, just a couple of moulds. Actually, I tell a lie – I found one track/wheels casting!

Incidentally, Email didn't come through but I've traced your address – figures should be in post Monday.
