From the article: "A devout Catholic, Columbus had been working off inaccurate calculations in a belief that he would be able to travel around the world to reach Asia." How are the two things related? And:"
and founded Rhodesia in 1895, ultimately leading to Robert Mugabe." How does the founding of a country a hundred years ago lead to a brutal dictator today? And what figures would be best for Mugabe's army? |

Mis-spelled names, bad history, and worse writing. I vote for Yrsinia pestis. |

Looks like they just pulled out names from a hat and found their information on wikipedia. Yeesh! I agree with Dave above. Although I will now have to go find out who or what the heck Yrsinia pestis is. |

So much awfulness in there (Alexander's Greek Empire still in evidence today?) but here's a fave: The Norman conquest of 1066 was a brutal and prolonged campaign and was the last time that England was ruled by a foreign ruler. Except for 1688. And 1715. By the way, the bit on Leopold II reminds me. BELGIUM is the country. BELGIAN is the adjective. Leopold was the BELGIAN King, not the Belgium King. I bring this up, since many wargamers are seemingly unaware of the distinction and ask questions about, fr'instance, the Dutch-Belgium Militia at Quatre Bras. |

Germans and Dutchmen don't count as real foreigners, enfant, only the French And you forgot to mention James, being a Scot he is just as much a foreign ruler
