If you are stranded in Shanghai or just visiting, a few of us meet at O'Maley's pub on Wednesday night for beer an soldiers. Some of us have a few armies to loan, or just come by and grab command of a flank! Here are the details: link |

Crikey! I've just been studying some of the Sino-Japanese battles in Shanghai for a wargames book I'm writing. |

Hi Mapleleaf, if you send me your email via that link, I will pass it on to a player in Beijing. He's an avid miniature rules fan, especially WRG. Hi Mal, my mate here might be able to help out, as I know he is a WWII enthusiast and keen on digging through the history available here. Hi Gav, check this thread TMP link Things change so fast here, that it may be outdated by the time you arrive. :) Much of what is made here for the west isn't cheap in China, especially niche enthusiast items. It is quite a shock. Art supplies are really cheap, so at least do go down to Fuzhou Lu and stock up on paint brushes! The advert is more geared towards boardgamers, since they are more numerous here. Many locals who've experienced boardgaming really are interested in wargaming and particularly miniature wargaming. So, the hope is for more converts!! :-) |
