Hi Guys

I was wondering what your opinion is towards using 10mm buildings with 15mm figures.

The reason im asking is that the other night at my local club we were having a game of War of the Spanish Succession with the use of 10mm and 15mm buildings. The buildings themselves were there just to represent a town, hamlet, village etc. They werent terrian to be fought over like in flames of war etc, also we mentioned that the 15mm buildings looked large just to represent a town etc.

When ive wargamed 15mm WW2 flames of war then i think that 15mm buildings look fine.

I know another wargamer who uses 6mm buildings in his 15mm games and they work well as well.

So whats your thoughts on this

In our ACW games using Johnny Reb 3 rules, we use 10mm buildings with 15mm figures. It looks fine and works well since the ground scale is 50 yards to the inch even the 10mm buildings cover a football field of scale ground.

Yes, I use 10mm for JOHNNY REB. One building represents a whole block.

It is pretty common to do so.

Yup fine I use 10mm and small 15mm buildings with my 18mm figures. Also 20mm buildings with 25mm figures.

I generally drop down a scale on most of my gaming. I esentially use nothing but 10mm with the 15mm figures (all periods). The exception is for my 28mm skirmish gaming.

I use 10mm buildings with 15mm figures as well.

I even use 6mm buildings with 15mm figures!

Yes, I also do it. Unless we are doing skirmish gaming.

Thanks,

John

Yep – I use 6mm buildings with 10mm figures – looks better than 10mm buildings
