I will admit that I had not searched for the special characters when I did my review of "North Africa". It was a superficial first impression. I DID mourn the dropping of the parachute drop and glider rules, though, and ASSUMED that the special rules for von der Heydte were dropped too.
Not to fear! They are in North Africa!
Undead fallschirmjaegers still stalk the battlefield!

I must ask….

Undead Fallschirmjaegers?

Von der Heydte has the ability in Flames of War to bring back formerly destroyed stands on a roll of 5 or 6.
Aren't you glad you asked?

Moonbeast04 Oct 2009 4:37 p.m. PST

Nagash Von Der Heydte? Never thought of it like that…Sweet.

Thanks John,

Now I know why a friend of mine calls the game "Flames of Warhammer"…

Is this for the Nordland FJ division? In defence of Battlefront, I have to say that those stands were not dead – they were pining for the fjords.

Actually it is WH 1.94K

>>> WooooooooHooooooooo !!!! I have two Von Der Heydte's !!!!

Me, too: the original one, and the following version. I presume there will be a third at some point.

I have Nagash, too, which is very sad.

"Now, see here Carruthers! You set out the bait, and invariably the more predictable beasts will pounce on it! Quite amusing, actually!"
"Yes, quite amusing. Quite predictable too."

I totally agree OFM ,its funny how any mention of FOW does bring out the same old names spouting the same old rubbish.I do wonder if they sit poised over the keyboard just waiting for the chance.

Moonbeast05 Oct 2009 9:04 a.m. PST

Actually…I want some undead Fallschirmjaegers now…anyone make anything close? Seriously. I want some (thanks for the idea John).

Rhino Co05 Oct 2009 10:51 a.m. PST

There are some 28mm FJ Undead at Brigade… I think West Wind has some too…

Moonbeast05 Oct 2009 12:49 p.m. PST

Thanks Rhino, unfortunately (I left it out of my post) I'm looking for them in 15mm…to use in FOW when Von Der Heydte raises them from the dead.
