Books say they used French uniform but in green or white.

Did they ever change to the 1812 Bardin uniform?

Were Italian generals dressed in French uniform but the colours green?

Hi
I believe they started wearing white from about 1808/9 onwards. I don't think they ever adopted the Bardin uniform, (but I could be wrong).
I did however see a picture the other day that had Italians in Green in 1812, (but I can't recall where I saw it).
Not sure about the Generals, (but I have my own in Green).
Cheers

The green coated guys may well have been from legere regiments or Reggimento Fanteria Leggera

Ironsisdes, I think my Old Guard grenadiers in full dress are perfect for the Roayale Italian Guard.

I am thinking of making Italian troops, too, so these links are useful Mr Freyer, thanks.

From memory, and I stand ready to be corrected on this, the carabiniers without front plates on the bearskins did have rear patches on them, which makes them quite different from anything in the French guard.
