Howdy all!

Well, Lord Ashrams House of War has been AWFUL quiet recently, but I finally got around to posting an update I hope lots of people enjoy… namely, a few photos and links to some of the absolute tip-top wargames rooms around! World War 2, Fantasty, Napoleonic, ACW… it is all there! So please do stop on by and enjoy, and if you have any links to other fantastic wargames rooms (or even more info on the ones I have linked) please do let me know!

Thanks for coming by!

I miss my library in the Maryland townhouse. It was something like 30 x 20 with a fireplace, widescreen TV, WC and over 50 feet of bookcases, a 4 by 6 foot desk and an expandable wargame table that was 12 x 6 most of the time. frown

Now all I have is an unfinished bonus room above a two car garage. Have no idea when I will be able to start to convert it over. frown

Woof, that first one sounds ideal… but a bonus room over a 2 car garage, that you have full and unlimited access to, is a dream wargames room just WAITING to happen!:)

Rob,
The same could be said of your painted figures!
I AM SO JEALOUS of your painting technique.

Likewise… I honestly look at some miniatures that people paint and I just do not understand, in my heart or my head, how someone can accomplish that with a paintbrush

ONE THING!

I went back and added a poll; so please do come on back (if you have already been there) or visit for the first time and vote for your FAVORITE of the wargames rooms!

Thanks all!

Ahh, Damn.

Just….Totally unfair.

Sigh!

Gosh it is hard to pick. Do the Perry twins come with the room?

Ohh.. hopefully in a few months I can make your list LA.

These rooms for the most part are/were the inspiration for my own.

You know, I almost posted "The Perry Twins do NOT come with the room, and neither do their miniatures!":) Great minds…

Trying to talk the wife around to convert the attic into a games room. Think im Bleeped texting against the wind thou lol

jameshammyhamilton29 Sep 2009 5:47 a.m. PST

I already have my games room in the attic but my better half has plans to expand her sewing and costume making empire so we are actually considering diging out the other half of our half cellar which would give me a really nice games floor :D

Hans Landa30 Sep 2009 10:48 a.m. PST

Believe it or not the wife said i can convert the attic into a games room thats if i board it out myself etc.
Now looks like i have a project in the new year.

My cellar is a wargames/painting room. It has a plentiful supply of music, gaming goodness and booby pictures on the walls. It's my cave and I love it.

Lord Ashram03 Oct 2009 12:14 p.m. PST

Hey guys,

Just want to remind everyone to come by, take a look, vote for your favorite, and if you have one to share, please do… for example, I had not seen Phil Olley's room, but I am glad I have now!:D

Lord Ashram09 Oct 2009 9:54 p.m. PST

Just thought I would let people know that voting is going strong for "Favorite Wargame Room"… up to about 50 or so votes! Keep them coming!

Also I posted up some other stuff, including my first 40k purchase in 20 years and some ongoing 25mm Napoleonic Austrian work!

So come on by and say hi!
