As my wife and I attempt to start a family and discover things will be much more difficult than we anticipated, I'm looking for ways to increase my income. A few years ago I worked as a professional painter, but found it hard to work to the deadlines. I think I would find it much easier to paint what I want to paint and offer it for sale. Battleforces offer a large amount of models for a reasonable price(debatable, I know). So is there a market for pre-painted Battleforces/Battalions? Rob |

Check the prices for painted figures on ebay. There always seems to be a bunch of units from DPS (Dragon Painting Service) out of asia. |

Probably not a big market. I would think painting smaller forces would be more likely to be successful. TheWarStore sells painted mini's. Perhaps you could find a similar deal to help sell what you do paint. |

GW stuff is kind of a mixed bag. If you can get the newest thing doen quickly you might be able to move some, but often you are better off doing historicals. It might be that there is so much out there on ebay already. |

Another factor maybe the decision to allow non-painted armies to be played at GW stores. Without this requirement, I noticed that there has been less interest in getting painted items. Erik |

A painted set of the new Space Hulk may do well. |

But you have to find a copy of Space Hulk first

Congratulations on your decision. When we adopted our daughter,I looked around at my stuff, and decided that I had entirely too much, and I have been slowly knocking it down to a more manageable level(this was entirely my decision,my wife was actually against it) The resulting income has been handy. |
