------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some photos of the finished model. It was painted by Adam the designer for our site. The rest of the Sassanid elephants will be ready next week.

Mind-numbingly beautiful. Are these designs free-hand?

By the way, I love your ranges. Was thinking about doing something with my Greeks at some point, maybe going pyrrhic on them… and you show up.

The designs are banners from LBMS A&A sassanid range. They are £10.00 GBP a sheet and you need two to complete both sides. We are in talks with Steve at present to get sheets with the banners on one sheet with a standard thus cutting the cost down. Adam has also painted over the transfers.

You really don't want a breath of wind when you are perched on the back of an elephant clutching a banner that size!

Thank you for the information. I am still looking at this elephant and am amazed. Really beautiful cast and painting.

The banners and blanket are showcase quality. Very nice.

That is lovely. Both the figure and the paint job. Well done.

that is excellent, will you be doing a deal on all three ellies together when they're out?

Keith – have been admiring this work and was wondering if the standard pole has the cross bar moulded on?

Adam must have a very steady hand!

The elephants are priced at the lower end of the market. We offer discount on the shop already but with the amount of metal in these things we are limited in what we can do. The final price of the slightly larger elephant with castle hasn't yet been fixed and might be a bit more expensive, we will just have to see.

The standard that we supply doesn't have the crossbar, Adam removed the head and mounted it on a spear shaft from Northstar, he then added the cross bar to take the standard.
The elephant comes as shown on the shop photo.

Reference Tail gunner – we added a few shots showing the position of this crewman, they use ropes/straps to hold themselves in place wrapped around the elephant and then behind their knees. I also thought that it seemed odd but the evidence shows that is how they did it.

That rope behind the knees can't have been comfortable! Ouch.

It's a lovely model; would be a great piece for a painting comp.
