D&D in all editions by far. I don't think it would be possible to play more hours of any other game in my lifetime even if I quit right D&D now and started playing another game exclusivly. For tabletop wargames, probably Warmachine/Hordes. For boardgames, probably Axis & Allies. |

General Quarters 1,2 & 3 for sure for miniatures but Civilization in all its' computer game forms certainly has the most cumulative time by far. |

as I got older it changed but a special love for heroquest as before I found out about wargaming I painted all the miniature in the box and it was that game that got me to delve into any board game that had miniature playing peices in it to add to my heroquest games. Risk Heroquest Necromunda |

Total hours or number of games – it would be the home-grown set of rules which were originally hand written on computer paper which were a derivation of Empire II and WRG 6th Edition written for ancients and Medievals, and then translated into a computerized version by another author, and modified extensively, but still similar in nature. As for RPG's – it is now a toss up between D&D and Heavy Gear. We played D&D in high school on weekends lots of times, with lots of hours logged, but we played only on the weekend on some Fridays til midnite, and Saturdays sometimes until 1-2 a.m. Sunday morning starting in the afternoon. Heavy Gear, on the other hand, we played on M-Sat. from 6:00 til midnite every week for six months straight, most of it for the same game/campaign. Great times to remember – but not something you discuss unless two or more members of the group are present. |

Not sure which in total hours as I think it's very close between Richthofen's War and The Third Reich, both Avalon Hill games. I played these even more than all the day-long D&D sessions. Nice thread idea, BTW. |

Back in the 1970s at Fort Hood we had a bi-weekly Third Reich game (Avalon Hill) In the 1980s we played 'Empire in Arms' for months at a time. Miniatures 'Guard du Corps' Napoleonics (1978-1989). WRG Ancients 4th & 5th editions But total games may be surpassed by DBA. |

DBA Online. In the couple of years I played it, I clocked up a couple of thousand games IIRC. Certainly more than any on-table game I have ever played. |

Toss up between Empires of the Middle Ages and Star Fleet Battles (the mid-80's verion). Two different crowds but boardgamers were whom I hung around with. Miniatures would be Tractics closely followed by Armati. I would be lucky to do in a year as much gaming as I did in a week 25 years ago! |

DBA for me. A lot of the rules that I use for other periods or genres are based upon DBA (e.g. DBR, DBN, HotT). Usually happy to try other stuff, though, if it doesn't involve too much re-basing or buying additional figures. |

On a first flick through responses I'm not surprised how many Avalon Hill games are listed – been around for years and so easy to set up and play unlike miniatures games. However, I am surprised how many air combat games are listed given that I thought it was a very niche interest. |

PC – Civilization BG – Probably Memoir '44 as my neighbor loves it and I can get a game almost any time. Poker (7 card stud) Even at casinos, when my wife heads for the slots, I head for the Poker tables. |
